We design and develop digital products that work in the real world.
Whether that means owning delivery end-to-end, embedding within an existing team, or providing focused product, design, or technical consultancy, we are here to help organisations turn ideas into well-designed and well-engineered software built for market launch.
Our work is guided by three core pillars that shape every decision we make, from early discovery through to delivery and iteration: User-Orientated Design; Efficient Workflow; and Product Value.
Guided by these pillars, and drawing on our deep experience across product strategy, design, software engineering and real-world delivery, we actively embrace AI tools that help us move faster, maintain high quality, and remain cost competitive. The result is high-impact software delivered efficiently, intelligently and with purpose.
Do you have a strong idea, but need help turning it into a real product?
Have you launched an MVP and need help taking it to the next stage?
Are your systems forcing your business to adapt to the software, not the other way around?
Are you curious about AI, but unsure how to adopt it in a meaningful way?

We care deeply about seeing software products built with clarity, intent, and purpose.
Too often, products are rushed into build without enough attention paid to what really matters: understanding the problem, shaping the right solution, and designing with users in mind. We believe this early thinking is where the greatest leverage lies—and where teams can unlock the most value.
Designase exists to strengthen this part of the process. We work with organisations to bring focus, energy, and momentum to product definition and design, helping teams make confident decisions and move forward with purpose, while not neglecting the importance of creating well-thought through architecture and high quality code.
The business was originally formed in 2017 as Maude Squared Ltd by our founder and managing director, Matt Maude. From our base in Cambridge, UK, our small team has partnered with a wide range of organisations—from early-stage ventures to established businesses—building a reputation for thoughtful work, clear communication, and a collaborative, down-to-earth approach.
In 2024, the Designase brand was launched to better reflect who we are today: a product-focused partner with a clear point of view on how great software comes to life, who we work best with, and how we help our clients succeed.
